Literary Devices Bingo (For Any Novel Study) Grade 7/8

This Bingo activity is a fun way to have students stay engaged with a novel study you are completing as a class, while also teaching them to look out for important literary devices. As you read through the book, has students look out for the literary devices. Once a student has found one on their card, have them shade in the square and fill out the ‘Bingo Tracking’ sheet where they will explain how and why the device is used as well as the page number. I have included 37 different combinations of Bingo sheets to ensure that each student a unique card. I also included a ‘Literary Devices’ sheet with definitions and examples that you can provide the students with. This resource was specifically aimed at fulfilling C3.1 in the Ontario Language curriculum for grade 7/8. I have included everything you need so this product is classroom ready, and you can save time on your prep!
