I have created this resource to be an awesome addition to your financial literacy unit. I like to run through the stations as a review before a unit test. I have covered all the important topics for grade 5 financial literacy, by using real world scenarios. Each station takes about  half an hour, so I like to set them up and work through this activity for the week. I made sure to include a student worksheet, which I print out like a workbook and staple together for students to carry through their stations. This means that students do not need to write on any of the station cards, and there should not be anything to reset between stations. Students will also hand in these workbooks at the end of the activity for you to mark and see how they are progressing through the unit. To make your life easier I have also included a full answer key. At each station I included a full instruction card so student understand their task. I also included printing instructions, and set up instructions so that you only need a minimal amount of time to get this activity ready.

Includes:

  • 57 pages total
  • Teacher’s Guide to help you run the stations smoothly
  • Set Up To-Do List to help you quickly set up the stations, and includes printing instructions
  • 16 page student workbook, for students to complete their answers on at each station
  • Complete answer key to help you mark students work
  • 8 stations total:
    • Spending On A Budget
    • Creating A Real Life Budget
    • Calculating The Cost
    • Financial Payments
    • Calculating Taxes
    • Financial Decision Making
    • Finding The Best Deal

To run the stations smoothly you will need to provide dice, calculators, access to the internet as well as scrap paper for students. I know how busy teacher’s are so I kept this resource as low prep as possible. I hope you and your students enjoy!
