The following worksheets will help you teach your students how to define simple interest, compound interest, and the difference between the two. I have included a formula with a step by step process and examples to help students calculate each type of interest. While working through these worksheets students will begin by identifying types of simple and compound interest, and situations when each would be beneficial. Then students will work through a variety of practice problems where they will calculate simple and compound interest. This lesson is aligned to F1.4 of the Ontario Math Curriculum.
